Course Content

Week 1: Data Collection & Organisation
In this first week, students will explore what makes data meaningful and how to collect it effectively using real-life methods like interviews, polls, and observation. They'll also learn how to organise simple data in spreadsheets using tools like Google Sheets or Excel. By the end of the week, students will create and format their own basic data table based on a fun classroom activity.

What makes data good or useful?

Week 2: Descriptive Statistics Made Easy
This week, students will learn how to simplify and summarise data using key statistical tools — mean, median, and mode. They'll explore when to use each one, why they matter in real-world analysis, and apply their knowledge through a fun, hands-on activity using real class data.

Week 3: Interpreting & Communicating Data
This week, students will learn how to interpret data by identifying patterns, trends, and key insights. They'll also explore how to tell compelling stories with data using simple presentations and visuals, turning numbers into clear, meaningful messages.
